Perversion, paraphilia, fear

Many people are involved in the attraction to (what used to be known as) perversions, paraphilias, extreme things or situations, extremity. This is one of the least researched, unappreciated segments of sexual psychology. Most of the time, professionals do not have any serious knowledge about it either. Therefore, many sex seekers acquire practical knowledge and experience, i.e. they try out a paraphilia, after which they may even become addicted. Some paraphilias are harmless (fetishism, transvestitism), others are harmless or harmful (sadism, masochism and other BDSM games), and others are clearly harmful to others, even illegal (frottism, necrophilia).
Whether you've tried it or not, I'm here to help. I will not judge you. We will find the cause and the root cause of your paraphilia, and we will correct it. In more serious cases, I will refer you to a psychiatrist. Don't suffer alone, get help!

Please contact me if you are affected by any of the following:
- concern about distorting the personality by devoting oneself to a particular paraphilia
- inability to quit corkage
- past traumas, childhood imprinting, first sexual experiences that prevent the development and maintenance of a normal, paraphilia-free (vanilla) relationship

Wikipedia says this:
Perversion is the term used to describe forms of human behaviour that deviate from what is considered traditional and normal. It is originally defined as "a departure from the original meaning or doctrine", literally a departure from the norm. The word pervert is mostly used in a pejorative sense to refer to those who engage in such behaviour. Perversion is distinct from deviant behaviour, which is the deliberate breaking of social rules (although the two can refer to the same type of behaviour).
Prior to the 20th century, the word was mostly used to denote religious perversion, i.e. conversion to a condemned religion. Nowadays, it is mostly used to describe sexual perversions, or paraphilias. Used loosely, it can also simply mean someone who has 'dirty' or 'immoral' thoughts.
However, the use of the term also depends on age, culture, religion and person; what someone, somewhere, at some time considered a perversion may be perfectly normal and acceptable behaviour for someone else, somewhere else. Homosexuality, once considered a perversion, is now recognised by most people as a natural sexual orientation.
